About the Team

We are a dedicated group of enthusiastic, intelligent, hard-working athletes who love to play Ultimate! The team is comprised of people from all over the country who are studying anything from engineering to Biology to English. We study together, work out together, and travel together all over the country to compete against other colleges at Ultimate Frisbee tournaments.

The team was founded in 2005. In 2010, Danger qualified for College Nationals finishing 9th overall! For the past 5 years, Danger has placed in the top 3 teams in the Ohio Valley Region.

In 2015, we achieved our goal to once again represent Pitt at College Nationals.  Danger earned a second bid for the Ohio Valley Region through our dominant play during the regular season.  We continued to practice after the spring semester ended and traveled to Milwaukee, WI at the end of May to compete with the top 20 teams in the country.

In 2016, we built upon our success.  We were very competitive at spring tournaments placing 2nd at Queen City Tune Up and 1st at Commonwealth Cup.  We traveled to Seattle to compete against teams from the West Coast. At regionals, we earned the first bid to Nationals, and at Nationals we won 2 out of 5 games.

In 2017, we placed 3rd at Queen City Tune Up and Commonwealth Cup. We travelled to Seattle once again and ended up placing 2nd! We were the top performer at regionals and were able to achieve our goal of making it to Nationals. Once there, we won 1 out of 5 games.

In 2018 the weather was not on our side. Queen City Tune Up was called early Sunday morning during Quarterfinals because of heavy rain and bad field conditions. We then flew to California to partake in the Stanford Invite (whose field location had to be moved because of heavy rain) where we got to experience some fierce competition on the West Coast and went 3-0 in pool play. Finally, at I-85 Rodeo all of Sunday's games were canceled because of snow.  We placed 1st at Sectionals in Allentown, PA and 3rd at Regionals in Steubenville, OH earning a bid to Nationals in Milwaukee, WI. We went 4-0 (!) in pool play and made it all the way to the Semifinal game, finishing the season tied for 3rd in the country. That is our most impressive run at Nationals to date, but watch out because we're only getting started!

In 2020, Danger worked hard towards rebuilding the team to prepare for the next series and tournaments we would have. Although there were no tournaments this year, it was an amazing year of growth on the team!

In 2021, we placed 5th at Fall Nationals where we advanced to quarter finals, where we lost our game. This was a great series back for Danger after covid-19!

In 2022, we placed 1st in our section and region, and placed 13th at Nationals going 1-3 in pool play.

We look forward to building upon that success and adding some new faces to the roster this year!  The interest in Club Ultimate at Pitt has increased significantly over the past few years and so the program now has an A and a B team (High Voltage est. 2016)  to allow for more playing opportunity for Pitt students.  We are excited to see the growth of the program in the years to come.
